I hope a "bar~top" counts for Table Top Tuesday. Mine is about nine feet long. I have three bar~stools now, but plan to get new ones and possibly another chair added.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/TCkcF_m6CHI/AAAAAAAAAXs/7xiV5a9Ywco/s1600/bartopview.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" ru="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/TCkcF_m6CHI/AAAAAAAAAXs/7xiV5a9Ywco/s640/bartopview.jpg" width="396" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">Another view of the bar~top. I used a mix of dishes bought at Ross and from Sicily. </div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><br />
</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/TCkcpV2fiEI/AAAAAAAAAX0/x-rkkqWHG28/s1600/rooster+bluemat.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ru="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/TCkcpV2fiEI/AAAAAAAAAX0/x-rkkqWHG28/s320/rooster+bluemat.jpg" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/TCkcyfglLUI/AAAAAAAAAX8/ISJTY752hKo/s1600/rooster+redmat.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="307" ru="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/TCkcyfglLUI/AAAAAAAAAX8/ISJTY752hKo/s640/rooster+redmat.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;">The above pics are the rooster placemats I picked up at Ross for $3.99. I picked up two different patterns, I couldn't decide which one I liked better. Why not both?</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/TCkdup-r1HI/AAAAAAAAAYE/a5kg8b30poY/s1600/platepati.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="430" ru="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/TCkdup-r1HI/AAAAAAAAAYE/a5kg8b30poY/s640/platepati.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;">I picked up the above plate in Sicily. They are called Calecula dishes. They have assorted patterns. We happen to pick some up out of their dumping area. They have a dumping ground for those dishes that have imperfections. A forklift kinda truck comes and dumps them. Then, that's when "us Americans" run in and grab what we can or want. Then another truck comes by after and crushes them, this way they recycle the pottery. Yes, dishes and other pottery for FREE!!!!!</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/TCkfB46aJzI/AAAAAAAAAYM/N9ma_9MkcOc/s1600/yellowpatiplate.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="430" ru="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/TCkfB46aJzI/AAAAAAAAAYM/N9ma_9MkcOc/s640/yellowpatiplate.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;">This is the other pattern I got out of the "dumping grounds" for free.</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;">I wanted to show you the painted~tile look I did underneath my bar. There you have it, my faux tiles....</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">My daughter and I had a chance to get out and do a little thrift store shopping this week. I didn't find anything that jumped out at me, but my daughter begged for this Zebra throw. It's a homemade tied~knot blanket and definitely warm. She won't be needing it for awhile here in FL.</span><br />

<br />
Hey there!!!! It's been a while since my last post and blogging. Boy, I really have missed everyone and seeing all the post. I've been trying to catch up and look at previous posts. I've busy been running to doctors with my middle son who developed a back problem over the last few years, needless to say we got the ball rolling on what the game plan is going to be on helping him with this condition. Fortunately, it does not hurt him.</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><br />
I see that Rene over at <a href="http://cottageandvine.blogspot.com/">Cottage and Vine</a> is having a blogging party on her five favorite things she would take in her overnight bag. I thought I would join in on the fun. I did a similiar party on make~up a few months back. <br />
<br />
1. and 2. Oil of Olay cleanser and Garnier moisturizer are the first two things......<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/TCAYNKHyftI/AAAAAAAAAWk/-lNDjKp7DM4/s1600/100_2027.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" ru="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/TCAYNKHyftI/AAAAAAAAAWk/-lNDjKp7DM4/s640/100_2027.jpg" width="428" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/TCAZBqPZzGI/AAAAAAAAAWs/RteD0mXDmIo/s1600/100_2054.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" ru="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/TCAZBqPZzGI/AAAAAAAAAWs/RteD0mXDmIo/s640/100_2054.jpg" width="428" /></a></div><br />

See that little gold tube above....it's my very favorite thing....it's eye shadow primer, it insures your eyeshadow stays on and won't crease. That's a good thing in the FL heat!!</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/TCAZwNP98iI/AAAAAAAAAW0/Om2CXoESPD0/s1600/100_2091.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" ru="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/TCAZwNP98iI/AAAAAAAAAW0/Om2CXoESPD0/s640/100_2091.jpg" width="428" /></a></div><br />

5. The green can is my favorite hairspray Garnier-Full Control anit-humidity hairspray. It gives great hold, but not sticky. The other two items are great, too. The Chi silk infusion is great for if your straightening your hair or have the frizzies.<br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">Navy definition:A navy is the branch of a nation's armed forces principally designated for naval warfare and amphibious warfare; namely, lake- or ocean-borne combat operations and related functions. It includes anything conducted by surface ships, amphibious ships, submarines, and seaborne aviation, as well as ancillary support, communications, training, and other fields; recent developments have included space related operations. The strategic offensive role of a navy is projection of force into areas beyond a country's shores (for example, to protect sea-lanes, ferry troops, or attack other navies, ports, or shore installations). The strategic defensive purpose of a navy is to frustrate seaborne projection-of-force by enemies. The strategic task of the navy also may incorporate nuclear deterrence by use of nuclear missiles.</span><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">This picture above will always be special to me. It captures the moment my husband came home after his 9 month deployment to Desert Storm/Desert Shield, that is our first born between us. My dad took the shot, you see my husband had left when our first born was 2 hours old and didn't get back until he was 9 months old. I was fortunate to have the wonderful support of family and friends during that time. I often tell my husband you're lucky I was a Navy brat first, I knew what I was getting into before I married him!</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

The weather has been just gorgeous! My husband was getting some extra hours at work, so I decided to tackle the yard myself. I weeded, mulched, and just spruced things up. The kids did help with the edging and the mowing. Thank goodness! This picture is of my Knockout roses around the lantern. They filled in quickly. They originally start out as 3 little potted plants. <span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">The beds are getting some new flowers. I do have some perrenials that I cut back, that are starting to flower now. My elm tree fluffed up nicely this year, too. </span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">I liked my first elm tree so much, I planted this one here on the other side of the front yard. It is replacing a little palm tree that didn't make it. I think the elm will do better in its place. Hopefully, the grass will come in better.</span><br />

I was always trying to do a tuscan look, but never quite could. I am loving the nautical theme instead. It just seems natural being in FL and having a pool. <span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">That's <span style="color: blue;">m</span>e<span style="background-color: white;">~<span style="color: blue;">M</span><span style="color: black;">ichelle.</span></span> I decided to write a few things about <span style="color: blue;">M</span>yself since my name is <span style="color: blue;">M</span><span style="color: black;">ichelle</span>. Today's letter is <span style="color: blue;">M</span> for Alphabe~ Thursday with Jenny Matlock. A while back I was given a Beautiful Blogger Award from Debbie at <span id="goog_440205280"></span><a href="http://debbie-debbiedoos.blogspot.com/">Debbiedoos<span id="goog_440205281"></span></a>, I put it on the back burner, but didn't forget. Thank you again Debbie, this was so kind of you. Oh, by the way she is having a <span style="color: blue;">m</span><span style="color: black;">ighty tastey</span> give~away, so please stop by and visit her blog. Your suppose to pass the award on to 15 other blogs and tell 7 things about yourself. I love all the blogs I read and have a hard time choosing, plus alot of these blogs are award free, so I'll be skipping that part. Here are the 7 things you probably didn't know about <span style="color: blue;">M</span><span style="color: black;">e</span>.......</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia;">1. <span style="color: blue;">M</span><span style="color: black;">y first 5 years of life were spent in Japan. </span><span style="color: blue;">M</span><span style="color: black;">y dad was in the </span><span style="color: blue;">M</span><span style="color: black;">ilitary, so we moved there when I was a few months old. My parents say I spoke Japanese fluently, since we lived out in town and I played with the local Japanese kids. I don't remember any of language now.</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia;">2. <span style="color: blue;">M</span><span style="color: black;">y furry <span style="color: blue;">m</span><span style="color: black;">ammals</span> are Harry and Twinkles. They are our pet have guinea pigs. When they here <span style="color: black;">me</span> coming they start whistling and squealing for food. Below is a picture of Twinkles, she is about 6 years old. Could her eyes bulge any further out, LOL!!!</span></span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S8buLHFndlI/AAAAAAAAAQQ/hjzAmqSf2Bk/s1600/twinkles.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S8buLHFndlI/AAAAAAAAAQQ/hjzAmqSf2Bk/s320/twinkles.jpg" wt="true" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><span style="font-family: Georgia;">3. <span style="color: blue;">M</span><span style="color: black;">y family consist of my husband and 3 kids. I have two boys and a girl. <span style="color: blue;">M</span><span style="color: black;">y</span><span style="color: black;"> daughter</span> even has an </span><span style="color: blue;">M </span><span style="color: black;">name, </span><span style="color: blue;">M</span><span style="color: black;">adison. This is </span><span style="color: blue;">M</span><span style="color: black;">adison, she just turned twelve years old. Oh, heaven help </span><span style="color: blue;">m</span><span style="color: black;">e, my husband calls her "</span><span style="color: blue;">M</span><span style="color: black;">y </span><span style="color: blue;">M</span><span style="color: black;">ini~</span><span style="color: blue;">M</span><span style="color: black;">e"!! </span></span></div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S8bwPqHay6I/AAAAAAAAAQY/Hw0mAtLcarE/s1600/100_1963.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="267" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S8bwPqHay6I/AAAAAAAAAQY/Hw0mAtLcarE/s400/100_1963.jpg" width="400" wt="true" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">4. <span style="color: blue;">M</span><span style="background-color: #f3f3f3; color: black;">y first born son is very artistic. He has been doing art, especially oil painting for the longest time(I featured a couple of his painting in a previous post). He even took up the electric guitar and now plays bass. He, also, is <span style="color: blue;">m</span><span style="color: black;">y hairdresser! Wonder how <span style="color: blue;">m</span>y daughter and I got those curly locks in pics above, he did them!! He came to us in his senior year of high school and said he was interested in cosmetology. <span style="color: blue;">M</span>y husband didn't take this too well, at first, <span style="color: blue;">m</span>e, I knew he had it in him. He has always been conscience of how he looks and dresses. I knew this would be a good career for him. (He has girlfriends, just to let everyone know, and not that it matters..just sayin'...:) Well, he graduated high school last year and now graduates cosmetology school this Saturday. I am fortunate to have a few hairdresser friends and they have helped him tremenously. He even interned in my friends salon. <span style="color: blue;">M</span><span style="color: black;">y husband finely saw what he can do and realized this was right for him, too. </span><span style="color: blue;">M</span><span style="color: black;">y</span><span style="color: black;"><span style="color: blue;"> </span><span style="color: black;">whole family goes to him, (even <span style="color: blue;">m</span><span style="color: black;">y </span><span style="color: blue;">m</span><span style="color: black;">other in~law), </span> and his friends, too! </span><span style="background-color: white;">We</span></span> are very proud him!!!</span></span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="background-color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia;">5. <span style="color: blue;">M</span><span style="color: black;">y artistic side. I taught </span><span style="color: blue;">m</span><span style="color: black;">yself to paint, quilt, and do various crafts. I knew we would be <span style="color: blue;">m</span>oving around, since I <span style="background-color: white; color: blue;">m<span style="color: black;">arried a </span><span style="color: blue;">m</span><span style="color: black;">ilitary </span><span style="color: blue;">m</span><span style="color: black;">an, he would be deployed and I would do various projects while he was gone. I use to paint, alot, escpecially when country crafts were popular. I can even do some Donna Dewberry type painting. Here</span></span> are a couple little quilts I did.</span></span><br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S8b5BTvHpAI/AAAAAAAAAQg/e2piPe4MiYw/s1600/103_2403.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="267" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S8b5BTvHpAI/AAAAAAAAAQg/e2piPe4MiYw/s400/103_2403.jpg" width="400" wt="true" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">6. I love <span style="color: blue;">M</span><span style="color: black;">usic. I always have a radio on or a CD in. On the computer, I use Pandora. You find just about everything on there. I enjoy a variety of </span><span style="color: blue;">m</span><span style="color: black;">usic from top 40, jazz, and even like a little rap. Don't laugh, I'm talking 80's stuff or something with more of a beat and I know the words. </span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia;">7. <span style="color: blue;">M</span><span style="color: black;">y home is </span><span style="color: blue;">M</span><span style="color: black;">y comfort zone. I truly enjoy <span style="color: blue;">m</span><span style="color: black;">y</span> home and <span style="color: blue;">m</span>y family. Sometimes while were out <span style="color: blue;">m</span>y husband will joke and say "you ready to get back to your "comfort zone"? Nothing like being away, even for a weekend, to get back to your own bed!!! </span></span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">Wow, it's been awhile since being on here!! My computer was acting up, we switched internet providers and had some "issues". I've been catching up little by little. This is a post I had for last week but thought it could be used for Outdoor Wednesday. We have lizards everywhere in the summer time. I even saved one this morning, it was in the pool filter! This little guy let me take a couple of pics of him. I was just out back on the covered patio when I spotted him. He was probably looking for his dinner.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S8W0MVM_dSI/AAAAAAAAAPo/AKaTpAWutBc/s1600/lizard2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S8W0MVM_dSI/AAAAAAAAAPo/AKaTpAWutBc/s640/lizard2.jpg" width="428" wt="true" /></a></div><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">He's keeping his eye on me, LOL!</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S8W0pii_c4I/AAAAAAAAAPw/_GYQP4ywEOw/s1600/lizard3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S8W0pii_c4I/AAAAAAAAAPw/_GYQP4ywEOw/s640/lizard3.jpg" width="612" wt="true" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">I can't believe how close he let me get. It's kinda creepy and cool looking at the texture of his skin. My kids really liked the up close pics, too. We could see details we normally don't get see.</span><br />
<br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Th</span>is is a lizard I painted on the fence a few years ago. I thought it was appropriate since we have so many of them running around. I used acrylic paint that was made for staying on wood. It really has lasted! I am joining Susan for her<a href="http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/"> Outdoor Wednesday</a> meme. Your can see more great outdoor shots on her blog. I hope everyone gets a chance to get outside today. I have been outdoors in my yard remulching, adding flowers, and pulling weeds for about the last two weeks. The weather has been awesome! Also, my blogger friend Debbie of <a href="http://debbie-debbiedoos.blogspot.com/">Debbiedoos... loves livin in the Carolinas</a> is having a giveaway. She has a wonderful and entertaining blog, so go by visit her and enter to win a $25.00 gift certificate to Red Lobster. Love me some seafood!!! Have a great day......<em>Michelle</em></span><br />

<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S6tZxWDTw1I/AAAAAAAAAPI/CmWS0yim0cE/s1600/jacuzzi-hot-tub-picture.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="402" nt="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S6tZxWDTw1I/AAAAAAAAAPI/CmWS0yim0cE/s640/jacuzzi-hot-tub-picture.gif" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">My husband came home the other night with a offer from a friend at work. He had a Jacuzzi for sale. It was posted on craigslist but he wanted to let us know about his deal. Now I've always wanted one, but wasn't sure about how much space they take up. Well, needless to say, we now own that Jacuzzi. It is a fixer upper type thing, but it is in great machanical shape. Don't laugh but here is the picture of it....(this is very embarassing!)LOL</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S6tcc4U8YrI/AAAAAAAAAPQ/BKOnmIcHrec/s1600/103_2384.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="428" nt="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S6tcc4U8YrI/AAAAAAAAAPQ/BKOnmIcHrec/s640/103_2384.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">It does look kinda bad right now. We do have all the sides of it, they just need to be put back on and probably stained or painted. Hmmm.....I can do that. It took six men to load it on a truck and be put in our backyard! The inside shell of the Jacuzzi is in perfect condition. We, also, need to get a space leveled with pavers or cement .Hopefully in the end it will look like this....</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S6tde3TXQ6I/AAAAAAAAAPY/ihPc01i7LbQ/s1600/hot_tub_1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" nt="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S6tde3TXQ6I/AAAAAAAAAPY/ihPc01i7LbQ/s640/hot_tub_1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">I picture many nights of enjoyment once it is all put together and set up. Spring.....</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S6fmRz11i8I/AAAAAAAAANw/YAZLS9vgb3I/s1600-h/103_2345tablespring.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="610" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S6fmRz11i8I/AAAAAAAAANw/YAZLS9vgb3I/s640/103_2345tablespring.jpg" vt="true" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">This is my table with a little spring decorating. Its a mix match of things I've had and couple of new items. It all started with these...</span></span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S6ftO_fAm4I/AAAAAAAAAN4/ic4mENsxHE8/s1600-h/103_2344tablenap.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="434" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S6ftO_fAm4I/AAAAAAAAAN4/ic4mENsxHE8/s640/103_2344tablenap.jpg" vt="true" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">I was out thrift store shopping and came across them. The placemats were .75 each and the napkins were .49 a piece. They are a neutral color of green and I thought they could be used often. So for a total of $5.00 a got them. Then I was at Ross and spotted this....</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S6fu0JgYyjI/AAAAAAAAAOA/-3ZraBXi98c/s1600-h/103_2351price.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="476" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S6fu0JgYyjI/AAAAAAAAAOA/-3ZraBXi98c/s640/103_2351price.jpg" vt="true" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">It's the tablecloth, actually its vinyl, but I loved the print. Sorry the picture is blurry, but you can see it was only $4.99. Good deal and just right for a spring table setting!</span><br />

Would you like a cup of pink lemonade? I love this pitcher and the wine glasses. I bought it at Wal~Mart. The pitcher was $6.00 (not bad since a small carafe was $3.oo). The wine glasses were $2.oo a piece. I bought a set of six of them. They are really plastic! Can you believe it? So, for $16.00 I got the whole set. I love the new print from the Better Homes and Gardens collection that Wal~Mart is selling, from the bedding to housewares. </span></div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S6dBcmDmBaI/AAAAAAAAANY/Nau2XqBZARY/s1600-h/103_2332.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S6dBcmDmBaI/AAAAAAAAANY/Nau2XqBZARY/s640/103_2332.jpg" vt="true" width="428" /></a></div><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">Oh my, its been awhile since visiting here in blogland. I took a little break, as it happens to be mine, my husband's, and two of my childrens birthdays all in the same week! Who planned that one? LOL! </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">See the flag above, (life's philosophy) I used my gift card I got for my birthday and went to Kirkland's. I wanted to start springifying (not a word, oh well) around the yard but everytime I do it starts raining. I did manage to get a couple of things started....</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S6c8jJd0v4I/AAAAAAAAAM4/KL3vMf_1ZqI/s1600-h/103_2333.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S6c8jJd0v4I/AAAAAAAAAM4/KL3vMf_1ZqI/s640/103_2333.jpg" vt="true" width="428" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">I thought this wreath screamed spring and summer. It was my other Kirkland's purchase. I love all the colors in it! </span><br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S6c-w5wAUMI/AAAAAAAAANA/7PiIU69Vudw/s1600-h/103_2339.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S6c-w5wAUMI/AAAAAAAAANA/7PiIU69Vudw/s640/103_2339.jpg" vt="true" width="428" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">This is the only bloom on my geraniums, so far. In Sicily geraniums could be seen in overflowing planters all over, I started to enjoy them and their distinct smell from being over there. </span><br />
<br />

While taking pictures of it, I found some hidden surprises.....</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S6CwMcsXfgI/AAAAAAAAAMY/kMxpnqEM8Ko/s1600-h/100_2202.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S6CwMcsXfgI/AAAAAAAAAMY/kMxpnqEM8Ko/s640/100_2202.jpg" vt="true" width="428" /></a></div><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">Look close....You don't see them....Here let me get a better view of what I'm talking about......</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S6Cwv61co-I/AAAAAAAAAMg/w9aMG6ue7WE/s1600-h/st.patw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S6Cwv61co-I/AAAAAAAAAMg/w9aMG6ue7WE/s640/st.patw.jpg" vt="true" width="410" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;">The horse (Equus ferus caballus)[3][4] is a hooved (ungulate) mammal, a subspecies of the family Equidae. The horse has evolved over the past 45 to 55 million years from a small multi-toed creature into the large, single-toed animal of today. Humans began to domesticate horses around 4000 BCE, and their domestication is believed to have been widespread by 3000 BCE. Although most horses today are domesticated, there are still endangered populations of the Przewalski's Horse, the only remaining true wild horse, as well as more common populations of feral horses which live in the wild but are descended from domesticated ancestors. There is an extensive, specialized vocabulary used to describe equine-related concepts, covering everything from anatomy to life stages, size, colors, markings, breeds, locomotion, and behavior.</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

I thought I would post a couple of pictures of landscape oil paintings my oldest son did. He has been very artistic since he was little. We have lots of drawings and paintings he has done over the years. I have displayed his artwork to fill the hallway to his bedroom and used black frames to unify them all. His artwork has been displayed for his schools over the years and has won ribbons. He even did murals as background for plays when he was in high school. He truly enjoys it and we love his creativity, as well!<br />

This is my first post for Pink Saturday! The above picture is of a Verbena flower that has started to bloom on my back patio. It's in a pot and is in a covered area, I think that's why it does so well, besides being in FL. In a couple of previous post I have a Gerber daisy and the same thing. I have enhanced the photo with elements on my photo editing program I use. I loved the butterflies that look like they are flying around it! I do plant several different kinds of flowers for spring and summer. I try to stay with the ones that the butterflies like and will start digging into my butterfly garden soon. Enjoy!! Think Spring!!! I want to say "Thank You" to Beverly for hosting this party. You can enjoy more pink items at her blog <a href="http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/">How Sweet The Sound</a>. While my husband was in the military, we had the pleasure of living overseas for three years in Sicily. We were young and fortunate enough to travel around a little while there,too. One of the first gifts I received was the chicken pitcher....<br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S4-X2DLFEqI/AAAAAAAAAKE/hhIe5PdIWmo/s1600-h/100_2172.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" kt="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S4-X2DLFEqI/AAAAAAAAAKE/hhIe5PdIWmo/s640/100_2172.jpg" width="428" /></a></div>I was told they were for good luck here is the history on them: <br />
<br />
The origin of the chicken pitcher dates back to early Renaissance period in the Republic of Florence. The leading family in the republic was the Medici family. Its patriarch was the famous Lorenzo the Magnificent who had one brother, Giuliano. The Medicis were the wealthiest and most powerful family in the republic. Their only serious rival for power was the Pazzis family.The Pazzis were trying to take power by the normal method used at that time..assassination.<br />
<br />
The Medicis' wealth was partly based upon their large land holdings, which their peasants in the nearby villiage worked on. Occasionally, the Medicis would throw large festivals in these villages for the peasants. Giuliano, especially, liked to this and would do so on the slightest suggestion.<br />
<br />
Knowing this, the Pazzis had someone suggest to Giualiano that he throw a festival in the small village of Gallina, where one had never been held before. Giuliano agreed, and the Pazzis plotted to kill him and his guards the night after the festival when they would be most vlunerable. (Due to the amounts of wine drunk.)<br />
<br />
In the fall of 1478, Giuliano and his enourage including guards, cooks and craftsmen went to Gallina(which no longer exist today) to throw the festival. The Pazzis hired assasins to sneak into town late at night after the festival to kill him. They would have succeeded except they had to cross a yard full of chickens. The chickens started cackling in a great frenzy and woke Giuliano and his guards. The assassins were so startled they froze. They were caught and executed.<br />
<br />
Giuliano was so thrilled that the chickens had warned him, that he threw another festival the following night. He ordered his artisans to create ceramic copies of chickens to be used as wine pitchers. These he gave to the peasants and their friends for good luck in warding off assassins. It is now an Italian tradition to give a chicken pitcher to friends and family to protect them from trespassers and danger.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S4-elHrfWuI/AAAAAAAAAKM/kjPnjGJWaik/s1600-h/100_2173.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" kt="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S4-elHrfWuI/AAAAAAAAAKM/kjPnjGJWaik/s640/100_2173.jpg" width="428" /></a></div><br />
There you have it, the history of the Italian chicken pitcher. Included with the chicken is always a history print out tucked inside them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S4-e5WYkQkI/AAAAAAAAAKU/LWZWUQWz1Fs/s1600-h/100_2174.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="428" kt="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S4-e5WYkQkI/AAAAAAAAAKU/LWZWUQWz1Fs/s640/100_2174.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
The above picture is the family of them that I have. Another friend of mine, while there, gave me the rest of the chicken pitchers,saying we needed to have one represent each one of our family members. What a nice friend! A lucky chicken pitcher for each one of us! I love the little baby one!!<br />
<br />

Please excuse me, as I run for my seat. This not good for me to be late to my first day of class... I mean my first time participating! Just thought of this one. Today Jenny Matlock is having her Alphabe-Thursday. Todays letter is the letter G. My G word is Gerber daisy. I have been taking pictures over the last couple weeks of this Gerber daisy that is blooming in a pot on my covered back patio. I got lucky it is just starting to open up and should get a little fuller in a few days. Here is the definition:<br />
<br />
Gerbera (pronounced /ˈɡɜrbərə/)[1] L. is a genus of ornamental plants from the sunflower family (Asteraceae). It was named in honor of the German naturalist Traugott Gerber, a friend of Carolus Linnaeus.It has approximately 30 species in the wild, extending to South America, Africa and tropical Asia. The first scientific description of a Gerbera was made by J.D. Hooker in Curtis's Botanical Magazine in 1889 when he described Gerbera jamesonii, a South African species also known as Transvaal daisy or Barberton Daisy.<br />
Gerbera species bear a large capitulum with striking, two-lipped ray florets in yellow, orange, white, pink or red colors. The capitulum, which has the appearance of a single flower, is actually composed of hundreds of individual flowers. The morphology of the flowers varies depending on their position in the capitulum. The flower heads can be as small as 7 cm (Gerbera mini 'Harley') in diameter or up to 12 cm (Gerbera ‘Golden Serena’).<br />
Gerbera is very popular and widely used as a decorative garden plant or as cut flowers. <br />
<br />
I have bought this type of flower in several colors over the years. Here is a couple of vases full of them. Gorgeous!!!<br />

<br />
The picture below is a mosaic I did featuring the flower in diferent stages as it was opening up. <br />

I'm so excited to participate!! Here is my Nifty Thrifty find.....<br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S4zy-OGpkpI/AAAAAAAAAJs/AqWuU1ZMYvk/s1600-h/100_0206.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" kt="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S4zy-OGpkpI/AAAAAAAAAJs/AqWuU1ZMYvk/s640/100_0206.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>I love these plates! About 15 years ago, a friend and I were out thrift store shopping, while in Goodwill we both spotted these plates at the same time! Being the good friends that we are, (both of us not going to give them up, can you say stubborn!) LOL, we decided to split them up. They were priced at .25 a piece, yep a quarter!! I have since used them for decorating purposes. Here is a picture of them being displayed over a picture in my bedroom.<br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S4z1HkWG77I/AAAAAAAAAJ0/Y3r8-_dUbDk/s1600-h/100_2149.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" kt="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S4z1HkWG77I/AAAAAAAAAJ0/Y3r8-_dUbDk/s640/100_2149.jpg" width="428" /></a></div>I recently did a tablescape with them for Valentine's day. The vintage tablecloth is another find from an antiques market. I like the romantic look of it all.<br />

What kind of perfume are you wearing these days? I received a variety pack of Ralph Lauren perfumes for Christmas from my dear hubby this year. I had one in particular in the pack that I was interested in trying but wasn't sure. I had caught a wiff of it at Carraba's (I know the food is suppose to be more frangrant) on a waitress, and asked her what she was wearing. She said it was Ralph Lauren's "Blue". Here's a pic of the little guy, even the bottle is pretty! <br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S4qAokJ6IRI/AAAAAAAAAI0/A4_Ao3VXy90/s1600-h/100_2206.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" kt="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S4qAokJ6IRI/AAAAAAAAAI0/A4_Ao3VXy90/s640/100_2206.jpg" width="428" /></a></div>I love it!!! I have had several compliments on it. Here's everything that was in that pack....<br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S4qBWbZrvJI/AAAAAAAAAI8/sWeRDqjGyMw/s1600-h/100_2208.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="428" kt="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S4qBWbZrvJI/AAAAAAAAAI8/sWeRDqjGyMw/s640/100_2208.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>The only thing it doesn't seem to last all day. Which is a bummer. Do you have any tricks on making perfume last longer? I've tried the lotion before and the powdering before. A co-worker said she loves the perfume, but on her it smells too musky. It's funny how the same perfume can smell different on different people. Ever had this happen? Interesting..... I love Bath & Body Works stuff, too!! I have worn a vareity of it from Warm Vanilla Sugar to Dancing Water. <br />
<img src="http://site.custom-kingdom.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/bathbody1.jpg" /><br />
My sister's favorite is Moonlight Path.<br />
<img src="http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31qheeAgPeL._SL500_AA280_.jpg" /><br />
For awhile I was wearing "Nina" by Nina Ricci, but tends to go on strong then fade through out the day, but this one did seem to last.<br />
<img src="http://www.zappos.com/images/753/7535896/7769-897054-d.jpg" /><br />
I use to wear this one back in the day and I still smell it on some women occassionally.<img src="http://www.fragrantica.com/images/perfume/nd.3149.jpg" /><br />
My friend even named her daughter "Ciara" after this cologne, she loved it that much!!! My daughter's favorites have been from Aeropostale. They smell good and are reasonably priced. They seem to last on her, too.<br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S4qOckwbyYI/AAAAAAAAAJE/Pr_oXQIn4uI/s1600-h/100_2210.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" kt="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S4qOckwbyYI/AAAAAAAAAJE/Pr_oXQIn4uI/s640/100_2210.jpg" width="428" /></a></div>A very favorite of mine is Estee Lauder's Pleasures Delight.<br />
<img src="http://www.mskozmetika.sk/domain/mskosmetika/files/Estee_Lauder-damske/estee_lauder_pleasures_delight.jpg" /><br />
I wore it for the longest time and still wear it on occassion. I always got compliments when wore it!... So what do you wear? Do you wear any at all? Let me know your opinion and share any fragrance secrets that you have. I will be joining Smiling Sally for her Blue Monday. I thought this suitable with my "Blue" perfume bottle. You can find more blue items and join in on the fun at her blog <a href="http://smilingsally.blogspot.com/">Smiling Sally</a>. Thank you Sally for doing this meme, this is my first time particpating in this party. I, also, want to mention some giveaways going on. Diann at the The <a href="http://thethriftygroove.blogspot.com/">Thrifty Groove</a> is giving away two beautiful rooster chargers. You have to check them out, they are gorgeous. My son took the photo one afternoon sitting on our back patio. We do not feed him(technically). He decides to dine in the birdfeeder. How squirrels can cling to screen is amazing. We thought this photo was funny because it looks like he saying "Let me in!!!"<br />
(P.S. Do not mind the butterfly garden in the background, it will be getting redone come spring. :)Michellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05090822770708189547noreply@blogger.com12tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5254015231707861575.post-4675370297637126972010-02-22T20:32:00.001-05:002010-02-22T20:32:58.724-05:00Table Top TuesdayHere is a vignette I did previously. We love coffee and have quite a few collection of Starbucks mugs. A friend of ours found the Starbucks's book for us. Who knew there was a book? My husband even visited a few overseas while deployed. My father was with our local Audubon society and he taught me quite a few things on birds, I couldn't help but to follow suit. Here are a few pictures I caught a couple of days ago, I love these little Goldfinches. They are a dull yellow in winter and will brighten up by spring. (I hope this counts as yellow). Sometimes these little guys will cover the thistle sock and if you look closely you can see little heads peeking out of the platform feeder. I have a variety of more birds that show up in my backyard, I hope to get pictures of soon. If you want to see more mosaics join Mary at her blog <a href="http://dearlittleredhouse.blogspot.com/">Little Red House</a> and more Yellow items at <a href="http://mellowyellowmonday.blogspot.com/">Mellow Yellow Monday</a>. Thank you to both for hosting these parties!!<br />

Welcome to my home!!! Come inside....<br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S33UwuygbKI/AAAAAAAAAGU/-f2g8t9rP8Y/s1600-h/100_2140.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ct="true" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S33UwuygbKI/AAAAAAAAAGU/-f2g8t9rP8Y/s640/100_2140.jpg" width="428" /></a></div>I love color!! Being a military wife we moved so much that there was never time to put paint on the walls. So, I knew with our home and our getting roots that I would have color. I have never been afraid to try different colors on my walls (many of my friends are terrified!). We bought this house before my husbands last deployment. I painted the whole thing myself while he was gone. I got up and down from the ladder to paint up to those 10 foot ceilings. So sore and lots of motrin later. LOL!<br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S33XBgSwRzI/AAAAAAAAAGc/Y9uJJCr67oA/s1600-h/100_2132.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ct="true" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S33XBgSwRzI/AAAAAAAAAGc/Y9uJJCr67oA/s640/100_2132.jpg" width="428" /></a></div>This picture is of the dining room as you walk in....My husband did the molding for me in it. Do you see the iron piece on the wall in the back? To make it look bigger, I stenciled all around it.<br />

Xbox room. We want to add french doors to that room someday. <br />

This is what you see at the entry niche. I hope you can the see leaves I painted on the sides of it. I did those free hand one day. I taught myself to paint, quilt, and craft, while hubby was in the military.<br />

I'm hoping to get new bedding and redo this room for birthday. I still have so many plans and decorating ideas. I'll be showing more pictures of my home on later post.(You definitely don't want to go in the kids rooms right now, not pretty pics). I hope you enjoyed your tour!! Thank you again to Danielle at <a href="http://transforminghome.blogspot.com/">Transforming Home</a> for hosting this wonderful House Tour Party!!Michellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05090822770708189547noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5254015231707861575.post-67252355084530490782010-02-17T18:47:00.000-05:002010-02-17T18:47:17.174-05:00Get Your Face On Party!~hosted by Beth at The Stories of A to Z<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">Oh my, what am I thinking? Well, I do love make~up just about, as much as, I love decorating. Beth has asked us to "Get Our Face On" by hosting this party. O.K. I'll be brave and do a post.You can find more post on her blog <a href="http://bethcrabtreehunter.blogspot.com/">The Stories Of A to Z</a>. Just a warning the first few pics may not be suitable for all audiences. LOL!! With that said, let's get started. The first thing, where the transformation happens, is in my closet which doubles as an office. Yep, that's right, it's big enough on one side to have an office area. It has 10 foot ceilings and is about a 5X9 room. I'll show more of this on a later blog. I just move the laptops when I get started.</div></div></div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S3xddWfckcI/AAAAAAAAAEE/nqWUJxqPnuA/s1600-h/100_2025.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ct="true" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S3xddWfckcI/AAAAAAAAAEE/nqWUJxqPnuA/s640/100_2025.jpg" width="427" /></a></div>I start with washing my face and using a moisturizer. I always use a moisturizer with an SPF in it. I am a natural red head and burn just sitting in my car. So sad, but true.<br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S3xjzbvrM4I/AAAAAAAAAEM/UzQfWAm7-pE/s1600-h/100_2028.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ct="true" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S3xjzbvrM4I/AAAAAAAAAEM/UzQfWAm7-pE/s640/100_2028.jpg" width="427" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S3xkSOP-AoI/AAAAAAAAAEU/H6p086j0T-4/s1600-h/100_2035.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ct="true" height="267" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S3xkSOP-AoI/AAAAAAAAAEU/H6p086j0T-4/s400/100_2035.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>Yikes!! It's O.K. it's just me in the before shot. <br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S3xmCzL5dOI/AAAAAAAAAEc/zB1dubaHp6c/s1600-h/100_2040.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ct="true" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S3xmCzL5dOI/AAAAAAAAAEc/zB1dubaHp6c/s400/100_2040.jpg" width="267" /></a></div>I didn't realize how much I like Revlon products until this post. I use a primer before my foundation. If you haven't used one yet, try it. It smoothes lines and minimizes pores. I love Revlon's Colorstay foundation, but they came out with a new one that's suppose to be better. I can't wait to try it! I have an Ulta coupon calling my name. I powder after to set the foundation.<br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S3xnezHYtuI/AAAAAAAAAEk/3-E2tVWYZn4/s1600-h/100_2046.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ct="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S3xnezHYtuI/AAAAAAAAAEk/3-E2tVWYZn4/s320/100_2046.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>Well, we have finished the powdering, now time to get some eyebrows!! I have blonde eyebrows and lashes. I pencil my brows everyday that I'm wearing make~up. I have been doing this since I was 15 years old. I turn <strike>40</strike> I mean, I'm having a birthday next month, so I have been penciling for awhile. I have used several different techniques for my brows, but the pencil has been the best so far.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S3xsZlwLCvI/AAAAAAAAAE0/FnpvXMS5gEo/s1600-h/100_2050.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ct="true" height="267" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S3xsZlwLCvI/AAAAAAAAAE0/FnpvXMS5gEo/s400/100_2050.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>Whew, the brows are done! Time for some color!! I love eyeshadow and liners. I always start with a eyeshadow primer first, this keeps the eyeshadow from creasing and last all day. I use Bare Minerals or Urban Decays eyeshadow primers, both are great! For eyeshadow application, I use a light cream colored eyeshadow on my entire lid, then I use the method of darker in the crease, medium on the lids, and light on the brow bone. To do a smokey eye just use darker on the lid, as well, and smudge your liner. This is great night time look. I received a Bare Minerals kit for Christmas and love everything in it. The brushes are so soft and cover very well. The kit is called "The Jewel Collection".<br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S3xvgMdjFxI/AAAAAAAAAFE/EAbdOgOA5AM/s1600-h/100_2054.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ct="true" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S3xvgMdjFxI/AAAAAAAAAFE/EAbdOgOA5AM/s640/100_2054.jpg" width="427" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S3xw1LTxgRI/AAAAAAAAAFM/1LBSzhRo_m8/s1600-h/100_2108.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ct="true" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S3xw1LTxgRI/AAAAAAAAAFM/1LBSzhRo_m8/s640/100_2108.jpg" width="427" /></a></div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">Do you how hard it is to take a picture with your eyes closed? Let's just say a little weird. Eyeshadow added.</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S3xuBTTwsZI/AAAAAAAAAE8/mFouRfwO_38/s1600-h/100_2063.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ct="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S3xuBTTwsZI/AAAAAAAAAE8/mFouRfwO_38/s320/100_2063.jpg" /></a></div>Time to add eyeliner. For this, I just use basic black from Cover Girl. I, sometimes, use green, blue, bronze, etc. to play up my eyes, especially for a night time look. I apply the liner all around. I smudge it to soften the look.<br />

I use Cover Girl Professional Lash mascara. It's cheap and my favorite. I would have never used it, but a friend (make~up snob, let's say) recommended it. It's great for even if you wear contacts. Oh, we also, need blush!! I'm using Bare Mineral blush in Warm Radiance, a peachy shade.</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S3x11wXAt7I/AAAAAAAAAFk/NSVWxCq00hY/s1600-h/100_2078.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ct="true" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S3x11wXAt7I/AAAAAAAAAFk/NSVWxCq00hY/s640/100_2078.jpg" width="428" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S3x5Zle8GPI/AAAAAAAAAF8/NQQJpem0Ym0/s1600-h/100_2101.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ct="true" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J_JFNmySXI8/S3x5Zle8GPI/AAAAAAAAAF8/NQQJpem0Ym0/s640/100_2101.jpg" width="427" /></a></div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">Last, but not least, lips.
